Possibility and necessity integrals
Abstract: In this paper, we introduce seminormed and semiconormed fuzzy integrals associated with confidence measures. These confidence measures have a field of sets as their domain, and a complete lattice as their codomain. In introducing these integrals, the analogy with the classical introduction of Legesgue integrals is explored and exploited. It is amongst other things shown that our integ...

Our knowledge of natural categories includes beliefs not only about what is true of them but also about what would be true if the categories had properties other than (or in addition to) their actual ones. Evidence about these beliefs comes from three lines of research: experiments on category-based induction, on hypothetical transformations of category members, and on definitions of kind terms...

I will call this the Truthmaker axiom. The desire to find an adequate truthmaker for every truth has been one of the sustaining forces behind traditional theories of u n i v e r s a l s . . . ...
