Navigating inclusion: ‘home-making’ in the UK Shin Buddhist community

This contribution focuses on narratives and experiences of belonging exclusion among convert members Three Wheels, a Japanese Shin Buddhist temple in London, to investigate how difference is incorporated into transnational Buddhism. whose include both diasporic Europeans, occupies marginal position within Buddhism the UK’s (and broader religious) landscape. By embracing individual collective marginality, I argue, priests foster affective connections that allow for shared minority space emerge where its diverse can feel at home.
