Nature Management and Protection of Archaeological Sites in Estonia

Archaeological monuments are mostly situated in the natural environment and Estonia sometimes also protected under Nature Conservation Act, meaning they double managed as well. The system has its challenges, benefits dangers, since protection regimes for nature or heritage sites slightly different. In some cases, complement each other, but there cases where may diverge. conservation-related management of archaeological is described a few examples such discussed.
