Abstract The growth of logistic cities and freight villages to meet the increasing demand e-commerce is unstoppable. This strategic sector has boomed during COVID-19 pandemic, it estimated that by 2025, 138 million sqm additional areas will be built worldwide. Only in last decade, European construction activity tripled. Endless asphalt concrete have been host companies, posing severe environmental threats such as desertification, loss ecosystem wildlife. Seeking resolve these challenges, United Nations Industrial Development Organization proposed an international framework for Eco-Industrial Parks, with guidelines rainwater management, biodiversity preservation, or creation recreational amongst others. However, prior studies recommendations focused on formulation resilient spatial planning solutions industrial are yet very limited, comprehensive literature reviews still lacking. Aiming address this research gap, paper includes a review recent investigations projects study design areas.
