چکیده
Aim Studies investigating the determinants of plant invasions rarely examine multiple factors and often only focus on role played by native species richness. By contrast, we explored how vegetation structure, landscape features climate shape non-native across New Zealand in mānuka kānuka shrublands. Location Zealand. Method We based our analysis 247 permanent 20 × 20-m plots distributed surveyed between 2009 2014. calculated richness cumulative cover at ground, understorey canopy tiers. examined mean ground relation to structure (native cover), (proportion adjacent anthropogenic land cover, distance nearest road or river) climate. used generalized additive models (GAM) assess which variables had greatest importance determining whether these a similar effect tier. Results A positive relationship was not due their responses this study. Higher resulted lower whereas higher associated with Non-native increased proportion for negative. drier areas, while more influenced temperature. Main Conclusions Adjacent seems facilitate arrival being source propagules but also aids establishment as result fragmentation. Our results highlight examining both different tiers better understand invasions.

Spatial heterogeneity influences native and nonnative plant species richness.
Spatial heterogeneity may have differential effects on the distribution of native and nonnative plant species richness. We examined the effects of spatial heterogeneity on native and nonnative plant species richness distributions in the central part of Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, USA. Spatial heterogeneity around vegetation plots was characterized using landscape metrics, environmen...

although there are studies on pragmatic assessment, to date, literature has been almost silent about native and non-native english raters’ criteria for the assessment of efl learners’ pragmatic performance. focusing on this topic, this study pursued four purposes. the first one was to find criteria for rating the speech acts of apology and refusal in l2 by native and non-native english teachers...

This article presents a selective overview of studies that have investigated how advanced adult second language (L2) learners process morphologically complex words. The studies reported here have used different kinds of experimental tasks (including speeded grammaticality judgments, lexical decision, and priming) to examine three domains of morphological processing (regular and irregular inflec...
متن کاملSecondary Predicates in Native and Nonnative Grammars
The typical measurement by which the nature of second language grammars is evaluated is the input of native speakers. This paper reports on data from Mandarin speakers of English (n = 19), with an average of 10;3 (year;month) length of residence in the U.S., and native American English speakers (n = 19), and looks at how they dealt with causatives, resultatives, and depictives under four experi...
