Native Bacillus subtilis Strains Efficiently Control Lupin Anthracnose Both under Greenhouse and in Field Conditions

چکیده
Colletotrichum acutatum is the cause of lupin anthracnose in Andean zone. The pathogen affects crop throughout its entire production cycle, causing losses up to 100%. In previous studies, native strains B. subtilis (CtpxS1-1; CtpxS2-1 and CtpxZ3) from province Cotopaxi reduced infections seed seedlings. This study evaluated potential biological control these by using two susceptible cultivars under greenhouse conditions field. Plants I-451 Güaranguito I-450 Andino were treated with active biomass each strain. Pre-inoculated plants that received a bacterial concentration 1 × 109 colony-forming units per milliliter (CFU/ml) showed reduction ten times stem lesion diameter when compared artificially infected alone evaluations. Sequential applications antagonists every two-week allow for quantifying their biocontrol efficiency field conditions. A significant (P<0.05) was found area disease progression curve (AUDPC) comparing treatments naturally anthracnose, both cultivars, along 2015 2019 growing seasons. Analysis population dynamics phyllosphere survived over 7.0 LOG CFU/g on leaf surface four fact associated protective effect vegetative, flowering, pod-filling phenological stages. Results this efficiently anthracnose.

biological control of rhizoctonia solani damping off of sugar beet with native streptomyces isolates under greenhouse and field conditions
biological control of sugar beet damping-off of rhizoctonia solani ag-4 by two native streptomyces isolates (s2 and c) was evaluated in green house and field conditions. in dual culture, two streptomyces isolates inhibited mycelial growth of r. solani ag-4. besides, volatile components of s2 and c inhibited r. solani mycelial growth for 72 and 74 percentages, respectively. soil treatment either...
متن کاملThe extracellular proteome of Bacillus subtilis under secretion stress conditions.
The accumulation of malfolded proteins in the cell envelope of the Gram-positive eubacterium Bacillus subtilis was previously shown to provoke a so-called secretion stress response. In the present studies, proteomic approaches were employed to identify changes in the extracellular proteome of B. subtilis in response to secretion stress. The data shows that, irrespective of the way in which secr...
متن کاملSmall genes under sporulation control in the Bacillus subtilis genome.
Using an oligonucleotide microarray, we searched for previously unrecognized transcription units in intergenic regions in the genome of Bacillus subtilis, with an emphasis on identifying small genes activated during spore formation. Nineteen transcription units were identified, 11 of which were shown to depend on one or more sporulation-regulatory proteins for their expression. A high proportio...
متن کاملReclassification of bioindicator strains Bacillus subtilis DSM 675 and Bacillus subtilis DSM 2277 as Bacillus atrophaeus.
On the basis of high DNA-DNA reassociation values and confirmatory automated RiboPrint analysis, two aerobic spore-forming strains hitherto allocated to Bacillus subtilis and used as bioindicators (DSM 675, hot-air sterilization control; DSM 2277, ethylene oxide sterilization control) are reclassified as Bacillus atrophaeus.
متن کاملinfluence of some environmental and nutritional conditions on biofilm formation of probiotic bacillus subtilis strains
biofilm formation in bacteria is an important survival strategy. biofilm of probiotic bacillus subtilis consist of long chains of cells that are covered by a polymeric matrix of exopolysaccharides. this bacterium is known as one of the most effective biocontrol agents against plant pathogens and has a high ability in biofilm formation. this study was aimed to investigate the effect of some envi...
