Muscle hydatid diseases: percutaneous treatment with Örmeci technique
نویسندگان
چکیده
Aim: To present results of percutaneous treatment with Örmeci technique for muscle hydatid diseases.
Material and Method: Twelve patients (9 male, 3 female) 16 cysts (10 CE Type 1, 6 Type3B) were treated by technique. The puncture was performed under sonographic guidance using a 22-gauge Chiba needle as one-step procedure in type 1 3A. However, two to six needles according size the used different locations at same time cyst 2, 3B). For every cm long diameter lesion, 3cc fluid from aspirated, which almost amount cc volume 3A cysts. A 2cc pure alcohol (96 %) 1cc polidocanol 1% (ethoxysclerol 1%, Kreussler Pharma, Wiesbaden, Germany) injected into right after aspiration 3A, without 2 3B, each centimeter total equally among 3B cyst’s needles. It waited five minutes all scolexes be killed needle/or taken back. disease followed up mean 34.75 ±14.39 (maximum 65-minimum 15) months.
Findings: Fifteen out (93.75%) cured. We had complications treatment. One patient an abscess After drainage, cured well, he no symptoms during follow up. Another torpidity his leg three months, symptoms.
In Conclusion, Percutaneous is outpatient based, successful, safe, repeatable, cheap can alternative selected patients.

PAIR vs Örmeci technique for the treatment of hydatid cyst.
Hydatid disease is caused by the larval stages of Echinococcus Granulosus. Most patients with hydatid disease have no symptoms, unless there is compression of vital organs such as the hepatic veins, portal vein, hepatic artery in the liver, bronchia in the lungs or the brain, resulting in life threatening complications like anaphylactic shock and sudden death. There are four treatment strategie...
متن کاملAn Alternative Method for Percutaneous Treatment Of Hydatid Cysts: PAI Technique.
OBJECTIVE Surgery is still the first choice in complicated cystic echinococcosis. However, percutaneous methods have performed increasingly in recent years. The Puncture, Aspiration, Injection, Reaspiration (PAIR) technique is mostly the preferred percutaneous method. The Puncture, Aspiration, Injection (PAI) technique is the new modified method, which is differentiated from PAIR technique by i...
متن کاملPercutaneous Treatment of a Primary Pancreatic Hydatid Cyst Using a Catheterization Technique
Primary pancreatic hydatid cysts are rare and its percutaneous treatment and catheterization technique has, to the best of our knowledge, not been published in literature. A 33-year-old male patient who presented with abdominal pain was evaluated by ultrasonography (US) and computed tomography examinations. Both examinations revealed a cyst in the neck of the pancreas. After the administration ...
متن کاملPercutaneous CT-guided treatment of recurrent spinal cyst hydatid.
The involvement of spinal column in cyst hydatid disease is rare and hard to treat. The gold standard treatment is total removal of the cysts without rupture. However, recurrence after surgery is almost inevitable and reoperations carries technical difficulties and higher morbidity. We present a 69-year-old woman with two cystic masses at the T12 level, which compress the spinal...
