Multivariate Analysis for Post Harvest Quality and Yield Attributes in Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.)
نویسندگان
چکیده
Aim: To study the multivariate analysis, genetic parameters and correlation for post harvest quality yield traits in tomato.
Study Design: The variability twenty genotypes of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) was evaluated 18 attributes using randomized block design analyzed with methods.
Place Duration Study: Twenty augmented from Indian Institute Vegetable Research, Varanasi were sown during rainy season at Horticulture Research Farm Banaras Hindu University.
Methodology: unweighted pair group method average linkage (UPGMA) cluster analysis principal component (PCA) used to analyze data. Canonical discriminant showed contribution each trait classification accessions into different groups.
Results: first seven components (PC) explained 87.83% total variation has eigen values >1. that mainly contributed this PC1 PC2 are fruit yield, plant height, number flower clusters per plant, fruits days set, cluster. High (>20%) genotypic coefficient (GCV) phenotypic (PCV) observed fruits/cluster, shape index, fruits/plant, shelf life. coefficients primary branches/plant, clusters/plant, width (cm), weight (g) lycopene (mg/100 g) positively significantly correlated yield/plant.
Conclusion: Number had maximum variation. These also high heritability, gain significant yield.

HETEROSIS AND QUALITATIVE ATTRIBUTES IN WINTER TOMATO (Solanum lycopersicum L.) HYBRIDS
An investigation was carried out at the Research Farm of Olericulture Division of Horticulture Research Centre of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) to evaluate the heterotic performance in F1 generation of tomato. The hybrids showed significant variation in heterosis. The highest heterobeltiotic effects were observed in the cross P3 x P8 (-18.46%) for earliness, P1 x P6 (8.57 %)...
متن کاملRoot-synthesized cytokinins improve shoot growth and fruit yield in salinized tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) plants
Salinity limits crop productivity, in part by decreasing shoot concentrations of the growth-promoting and senescence-delaying hormones cytokinins. Since constitutive cytokinin overproduction may have pleiotropic effects on plant development, two approaches assessed whether specific root-localized transgenic IPT (a key enzyme for cytokinin biosynthesis) gene expression could substantially improv...
متن کاملGenome-wide Identification, Phylogenetic and Expression Analysis of ABC1K Gene Family in Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.)
Activity of bc1 complex (ABC1K) is a protein kinase commonly found in eukaryotes and prokaryotes. It plays an important role in various developmental and physiological processes, especially critical for plant response to diverse biotic and abiotic stresses. In this study, a genome analysis was carried out and 18 genes of ABC1K family were identified in tomato. Phylogenetic results showed that t...
متن کاملEffect of Static Magnetic Field on Germination and Seedling Attributes in Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum)
An experiment was conducted at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi to study the effect of pre-sowing seed treatment using different combinations of magnetic field intensities and time duration, on germination and seedling attributes in North Indian variety of tomato (var. Pusa Ruby). Seeds were exposed to static magnetic fields (SMF) of strength 50, 100 and 120 mT for 5, 10, 15, 2...
متن کاملProteomic analysis of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum, formerly hycopersicon esculentum) pollen
In flowering plants, pollen grains are produced in the anther and released to the external environment with the primary function of delivering sperm cells to the female gametophyte. This study was conducted to identify proteins in tomato pollen and to analyse their roles in relation to pollen function. Tomato is an important crop which is grown worldwide and is an excellent experimental system....
