Multi‐Stage CMOS OTA Frequency Compensation: Genetic algorithm approach

چکیده

Multistage amplifiers have become appropriate choices for high-speed electronics and data conversion. Because of the large number high-impedance nodes, frequency compensation has biggest challenge in design multistage amplifiers. The new technique this study uses two differential stages to organize feedforward feedback paths. Five Miller loops a 500-pF load capacitor are driven by just tiny compensating capacitors, each with capacitance less than 10 pF. symbolic transfer function is calculated estimate circuit dynamics HSPICE TSMC 0.18 μm. CMOS technology used simulate proposed five-stage amplifier. A straightforward iterative approach also optimize parameters given known cost function. According simulation mathematical results, structure DC gain 190 dB, bandwidth product 15 MHz, phase margin 89°, power dissipation 590 μW.

CMOS OTA - C High - Frequency Sinusoidal Oscillators

Several topology families are given to implement practical CMOS sinusoidal oscillators by using operational transconductance amplifier-capacitor (OTA-C) techniques. Design techniques are proposed taking into account the CMOS OTA’S dominant nonidealities. Building blocks are presented for amplitude control, both by AGC schemes and by limitation schemes. Experimental results from 3and 2-pm CMOS (...

Analysis of Multistage Amplifier–Frequency Compensation

Frequency-compensation techniques of single-, twoand three-stage amplifiers based on Miller pole splitting and pole–zero cancellation are reanalyzed. The assumptions made, transfer functions, stability criteria, bandwidths, and important design issues of most of the reported topologies are included. Several proposed methods to improve the published topologies are given. In addition, simulations...

A Multistage Low Supply Op-Amp in 0.25μm CMOS using Modified Active-Feedback Frequency- Compensation

This paper presents the design, analysis, and simulated results of a three stage low power op-amp in a 0.25μm CMOS process technology. The op-amp overcomes the problems of cascading stages under low supply voltage by using modified active-feedback frequency compensation. This op-amp operates over a common-mode voltage (Vcm)from 0 to 0.6V, a supply voltage (Vdd) of 1.5V ±5%, a temperature range ...

A Novel Active Feedback Frequency Compensation Scheme for Two-Stage OTA

A novel active feedback frequency compensation scheme is presented in this work. Based on the proposed technique, an amplifier with two main poles in its frequency bandwidth can be easily compensated by introducing a pole-zero pair in a local feedback. The proposed method is mathematically analyzed and then based on the derived formulations, a design procedure is established. The capability of ...

Active-Feedback Frequency-Compensation Technique for Low-Power Multistage Amplifiers

An active-feedback frequency-compensation (AFFC) technique for low-power operational amplifiers is presented in this paper. With an active-feedback mechanism, a high-speed block separates the low-frequency high-gain path and high-frequency signal path such that high gain and wide bandwidth can be achieved simultaneously in the AFFC amplifier. The gain stage in the active-feedback network also r...
