Conventional histological analyses are the gold standard for study of aneurysms and vascular pathologies in pre-clinical research. Over past decade, vivo ex imaging using multiphoton microscopy have emerged as powerful tools detailed tissue that can assess morphology, extracellular matrix (ECM), cell density vascularisation. Multiphoton allows deeper penetration with minor phototoxicity. The present aimed to demonstrate current status multimodality imaging, including microscopy, neo-endothelialisation ECM evolution after flow-diverter stent (FDS) treatment an experimental rabbit model aneurysms. assessing autofluorescence second harmonic generation (SHG) signals from biological tissues were used evaluate endovascular intracranial animal (pig, rabbit).
