Multipath Routing Implementation in SD-IoT Network Using OpenFlow-based Routing Metrics

The implementation growth of the Internet Things (IoT) may increase complexity data transmission process between smart devices. route generation available nodes on network will burden intermediary node. One possible solutions for resolving problem is integration Software Defined Networks and IoT (SD-IoT) to provide automation management. separation networking control forwarding functions a multipath delivery path each node in environment. In addition, controller can directly extract resource usage devices, which be utilized as routing metric variable order maintain utilization Instead using traditional routing, this paper aims develop based Deep First Search (DFS) Dijkstra algorithms acquiring an efficient OpenFlow-based metrics. traffic monitoring module delivered metrics extraction process, obtained variables Port Aggregate Flow Statistic features. calculation aimed multipath, was constructed switches usage. Each selected chosen smallest cost probability provided by group table feature OpenFlow. results showed that algorithm could create more swiftly than DFS with time difference 0.6 s. Quality Service (QoS) also indicated proposed efficiently.
