Multilayer SIS Model With an Infrastructure Network

چکیده
In this article, we develop a layered networked spread model for susceptible-infected-susceptible pathogen-borne disease spreading over human contact network and an infrastructure network, refer to it as susceptible-infected-water-susceptible (SIWS). The “W” in SIWS represents any contamination, not necessarily restricted water distribution network. We identify sufficient conditions the existence, uniqueness, stability of various equilibria aforementioned model. Further, study observability problem, where, assuming that measurements pathogen levels are available, provide necessary condition estimation sickness nodes Our results illustrated through in-depth set simulations.

Stability and Bifurcation of an SIS Epidemic Model with Saturated Incidence Rate and Treatment Function
In this paper an SIS epidemic model with saturated incidence rate and treatment func- tion is proposed and studied. The existence of all feasible equilibrium points is discussed. The local stability conditions of the disease free equilibrium point and endemic equilibrium point are established with the help of basic reproduction number. However the global stabili- ty conditions of these eq...
متن کاملOutbreak analysis of an SIS epidemic model with rewiring.
This paper is devoted to the analysis of the early dynamics of an SIS epidemic model defined on networks. The model, introduced by Gross et al. (Phys Rev Lett 96:208701, 2006), is based on the pair-approximation formalism and assumes that, at a given rewiring rate, susceptible nodes replace an infected neighbour by a new susceptible neighbour randomly selected among the pool of susceptible node...
متن کاملAn SIS model with infective medium on complex networks
In this paper, a new susceptible-infected-susceptible model with infective medium is proposed, which describes epidemics (e.g. malaria) transmitted by infective media (e.g. mosquitoes) on various complex networks. The dynamic behaviours of the model on a homogeneous network and a heterogenous scale-free network are considered, respectively, where the absence of the threshold on the scale-free n...
متن کاملAn SIS model for cultural trait transmission with conformity bias.
Epidemiological models have been applied to human health-related behaviors that are affected by social interaction. Typically these models have not considered conformity bias, that is, the exaggerated propensity to adopt commonly observed behaviors or opinions, or content biases, where the content of the learned trait affects the probability of adoption. Here we consider an interaction of these...
متن کاملAn SIS patch model with variable transmission coefficients.
In this paper, an SIS patch model with non-constant transmission coefficients is formulated to investigate the effect of media coverage and human movement on the spread of infectious diseases among patches. The basic reproduction number R(0) is determined. It is shown that the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable if R(0)≤1, and the disease is uniformly persistent and there...
