چکیده

Background: In the present study two hundred milk samples were collected from cows and buffaloes with no history of clinical mastitis in ongoing lactation, Sirohi district Southern Rajasthan. Methods: The pooled sample (collected each quarter) examined for status subclinical by Modified California test Somatic cell count respectively. Positive further investigated isolation identification major mastitis-causing pathogens: S. aureus, predominant Streptococcal species E. coli assessing antimicrobial resistance models southern Result: results current indicate high levels multi-drug antibiotic among bacteria that commonly cause mastitis, particularly ampicillin, penicillin, tetracycline, erythromycin methicillin. However, highest sensitivity was conferred to ceftriaxone, gentamicin, co-trimoxazole, suggestive judicious use these antibiotics treatment bovine mastitis. Concurrent implementation gradient PCR indicated presence mecA blaZ genes 51.9% 81.4% aureus isolates, Meanwhile, 56.6% streptococcal isolate contained tetracycline-conferring tetM gene none streptococci ermB gene. 92.3% isolates tetA tetB tetracycline resistance.

Invasive potential of biofilm-forming Staphylococci bovine subclinical mastitis isolates

Staphylococcus (S.) aureus is a common infectious agent of bovine chronic mastitis, a disease that is difficult to eradicate. The abilities of staphylococci to be internalized and form a biofilm can contribute to host immunological defence evasion that subsequently impairs antimicrobial therapy. The invasive capability of six S. aureus field isolates with different biofilmforming profiles was c...

Prevalence and Antimicrobial Susceptibility of Bacterial Isolates from Subclinical Mastitis in Dairy Farms in Kosovo

The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of subclinical mastitis in dairy cows in Kosovo and the antimicrobial susceptibility of isolated bacteria. Six hundred and twenty four milk samples from individual quarters of 156 lactating cows were tested using California Mastitis Test (CMT) and the positive samples were further analysed using conventional methods for isolation of main mas...

Relationship between in vitroantimicrobial sensitivity of bovine subclinical mastitis isolates and treatment outcome in lactating dairy cows

The objective of the present study was to determine whether there was an association between the in vitroantimicrobial sensitivity test results of subclinical mastitis pathogensand bacteriological cure following intramammary treatment using a combination of nafcillin, penicillin, and streptomycin (NPS). Eighty-six intramammary pathogens from 43 cows were examined inthis study. Most intramammary...

Relationship between in vitro susceptibility of bovine subclinical mastitis isolates and bacteriological outcome of intramammary treatment with cefquinome

The objective of the present study was to determine whether there was an association between the in vitro antimicrobial susceptibility test results of subclinical mastitis pathogens and bacteriological outcomes of intramammary treatments using cefquinome. A total of 110 intramammary pathogens from 51 cows were assessed in this study. Most intramammary infections were due to coagulase-negative s...

Mutations in the RpoB Gene of Multidrug-Resistant Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Isolates from Semarang, Indonesia

ABSTRACTTuberculosis is an infectious disease which occurs widely in the world and becomes one of the top 10 causes of death worldwide. Mutations of the RpoB gene cause the resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to rifampicin that contributes to the occurrence of MDR-TB. This study aimed to determine the pattern of rpoB gene polymorphisms in the MDR M. tuberculosis in Semarang, Indonesia. Mos...
