Multidisciplinary management of an adult skeletal Class III patient with generalized aggressive periodontitis and canine-premolar transposition

This case report presents orthodontic camouflage treatment and the correction of transposed canine-first premolar teeth in a patient who presented with skeletal Class III familial periodontal problem. A 28-year-old female was diagnosed generalised aggressive periodontitis treated by scaling root planing plus adjunctive use systemic antibiotics surgical therapy prior to referral department. After progression disease controlled, commenced correct dental transposition using modified Nance-TPA appliance sectional arch mechanics. non-extraction planned eliminate anterior crossbite establish proper occlusion closing multiple diastemata. Treatment outcomes remained stable 2-year follow-up period. Severe orthodontic-periodontal problems can be successfully oral hygiene motivation, an interdisciplinary approach, selection appropriate biomechanics.
