چکیده
Abstract We study a unique dataset with comprehensive coverage of daily prices in large multi-product retailers Israel. Retail stores synchronise price changes around occasional ‘peak’ days when they reprice 10% their products. To assess aggregate implications partial synchronisation, we develop new model which firms face economies scope adjustment, and synchronisation is endogenous. Synchronisation attenuates the average response to monetary shocks, but only high degrees can substantially strengthen real effects policy shocks. Our calibrated generates similar magnitude those M. Ambiguity Theory and Asset Pricing: Empirical Evidence from Tehran Stock Exchange
Modern portfolio theory is based on the relationship between risk and return and in this paper, specific uncertainty conditions are introduced as ambiguity which affects the asset pricing. First, ambiguity is estimated by the means of three-variable and main component method, trading volume, ask-bid spread, error of earnings...
متن کاملPrice Promotion by Multi-Product Retailers
This paper examines the rationale underlying periodic price promotions, or sales, for perishable food products by supermarket retailers. Whereas previous studies explain sales in a single-product context as arising from informational, storage cost, or demand heterogeneity, this study focuses on the central role of retailers as multi-product sellers of complementary goods. By offering a larger n...

In the information age, the availability of data on consumer profiles has opened new possibilities for companies to increase their revenue via data mining techniques. One approach has been to strategically set prices of various products, taking into account the profiles of consumers. We study algorithms for the multi-product pricing problem, where, given consumer preferences among products, the...
متن کاملBasic Principles Of Asset Pricing Theory: Evidence From Large-Scale Experimental Financial Markets
We report on six large-scale financial markets experiments that were designed to test two of the most basic propositions of modern asset pricing theory, namely, that the interaction between risk averse agents in a competitive market leads to equilibration, and that, in equilibrium, risk premia are solely determined by covariance with aggregate risk. We designed the experiments within the framew...
