Multi-objective optimization of CCHP system with hybrid chiller under new electric load following operation strategy

The performance of combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) system is greatly affected by its operating strategy design. In this paper, a new electric load following (NELF) was developed. It based on the alternation between absorption cooling according to building energy requirements, for hybrid chiller CCHP systems. A comparison proposed with modified (MELF) (ELF) strategies performed. multi-objective optimization approach genetic algorithm carried out predict optimal capacity Performance criteria like primary consumption, annual total cost carbon dioxide emission were considered as objective functions. performances these systems operation examined compared separated production (SP) Mosque complex located in Algiers, Algeria. Results show that NELF best choice, which can reduce consumption 34.45 GWh/year, 0.313 million €/year 8.37 kton/year. Compared other configurations strategies, achieves better energetic, economic environmental under optimized conditions.
