Multi-Intensity Optimization-Based CT and Cone Beam CT Image Registration

Cancer is a highly lethal disease that mainly treated by image-guided radiotherapy. Because the low dose of cone beam CT less harmful to patients, images are often used for target delineation in radiotherapy various cancers, especially breast and lung cancer. However, breathing heartbeat can cause position errors taken during different periods, also results insufficient imaging clarity, rendering existing registration methods unable meet tasks. In this paper, we propose novel multi-intensity optimization-based method. First, use multi-weighted mean curvature filtering algorithm preserve details input image pairs. Then, strong edge retention registered using intensity-based method obtain results. Next, evaluation called intersection mutual information proposed evaluate accuracy Finally, determine optimal transformation apply it pairs final The experimental demonstrate excellent performance method, meeting requirements
