Multi-Environmental Evaluation of Protein Content and Yield Stability among Tropical Soybean Genotypes Using GGE Biplot Analysis

The yield and protein performance in a soybean genotype result from its interaction with the prevailing environmental conditions. This makes selecting best genotypes under varied target production environments more complex. study’s objectives were to determine content stability of 30 elite major soybean-growing areas Uganda, assess soybeans relationship between grain soybeans. planted randomized complete block design three replications for six seasons across eight locations Uganda. Genotype genotype-by-environment (GGE) biplot analyses classified test into mega-environments yields. NII X GC 20.3 had highest mean 43.0%, BSPS 48A-9-2 48A-28 superior (1207 kg ha−1). Bulindi was most discriminating representative environment yield. A weak negative correlation (r = −0.1**, d.f. 29) detected (%) (kg highest-yielding 48A-9-2, 48A-31, Nam II × 44.2 are recommended further evaluation farmers’ conditions selection release as new varieties
