Multi-deformable piezoelectric energy nano-generator with high conversion efficiency for subtle body movements

Wearable devices for remote medical systems require a reliable power supply to enable full operation during long-term processes. Piezoelectric generators are promising energy sources that use human body movements generate energy. The wearable device should be able easily deform with tiny skin deformations achieve continual generation from standard movements. However, conventional piezoelectric cannot sufficiently in response small movements, resulting an extremely low energy-conversion efficiency when mounted on the skin. In this study, we report ultrathin nano-generator (U-PENG) based poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene). Owing their thin structure (4 µm), proposed U-PENGs conformally adhere soft and subtle such as eye blinking breathing. These novel provide conversion of ~18.85%, which is ~971% higher than thicker samples identical structures. structure, high efficiency, excellent attachability, can integrated biodevices sources.
