MULTI-CRITERIA COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF WATER-SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE PIPES MANUFACTURED FROM DIFFERENT MATERIALS

Recent advances in materials engineering are remarkable. New emerging the global market, and old ones constantly being improved. No exceptions for production of pipes. Nowadays cast iron, steel, reinforced concrete, ceramic, plastic other pipes used water supply sewage networks installation. Construction customers designers have to choose which use that they meet set requirements, easy maintain, high longevity. To evaluate effectiveness different pipe (concrete, concrete (RC), polyvinylchloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), glass (GRP)), properties cost were analyzed. Eleven criteria selected evaluation: variety diameters, mass, resistance lifting, thermal resistance, abrasion surface roughness (hydraulic property), nominal stiffness, pressure, embodied energy, CO2 emission, (product + installation). According results most effective material sewerage systems is PE PVC.
