METHODS: RWPE-1 cells randomly divided into 5 groups: 1 group (normal control), 2 LPS (lipopolysaccharide inducing inflammation), 3 0.1ESWT (treated 0.1mJ/mm2 ESWT), 4 0.2ESWT 0.2mJ/mm2 ESWT) 0.3ESWT 0.3mJ/mm2 ESWT). After ESWT administered, supernatant were collected for ELISA western blot. In vivo, Sprague-Dawley rats (n=36) normal group, (12 each). Prostatitis induced 17 beta-estradiol dihydrotestosterone. weeks after ESWT, pain index assessed all groups prostates immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, apoptosis analysis RESULTS: optimal energy flux density 0.2 mJ/mm2 in vitro. ameliorated discomfort with prostatitis. Inflammation improved (P<0.05). Compared rats, overexpressed NLRP3 inflammasomes triggered which TLR4-NFκB pathway overactive prostatitis, compared And BAX/BAK inhibited CONCLUSIONS: reducing inflammasome via inhibiting a rat model. TLR4 might be key protein bonding pathway. should potential promising treatment CP/CPPS. Low-energy extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) improves metaphyseal fracture healing in an osteoporotic rat model
PURPOSE As result of the current demographic changes, osteoporosis and osteoporotic fractures are becoming an increasing social and economic burden. In this experimental study, extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT), was evaluated as a treatment option for the improvement of osteoporotic fracture healing. METHODS A well-established fracture model in the metaphyseal tibia in the osteoporotic...

The sources of shockwave generation include electrohydraulic, electromagnetic and piezoelectric principles. Electrohydraulic shockwaves are high-energy acoustic waves generated under water explosion with high voltage electrode. Shockwave in urology (lithotripsy) is primarily used to disintegrate urolithiasis, whereas shockwave in orthopedics (orthotripsy) is not used to disintegrate tissues, ra...

Since the introduction of Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) for the treatment of nephrolithiasis, the indication has been extended and the technical possibilities of ESWT have been considerably improved. Besides the classical indication of “kidney stones”, extra-corporeal shockwaves are also used in gall stones, pancreatic stones and salivary calculi [1-3]. In orthopedics ESWT is indicate...
متن کاملExtracorporeal shockwave therapy for peyronie disease.
While surgery is the mainstay of therapy for Peyronie disease requiring correction of angulation, interest has grown in the application of extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) as a minimally invasive approach. This article reviews the current literature reporting the use of ESWT for Peyronie disease.

ESWT is used in treatment of pseudoarthrosis and may be considered for callus lengthening operations. In this study, effects of ESWT on the forming callus were studied. Transverse femoral osteotomy at mid diaphysis, internally fixated with Kirschner wires were performed on 20 male, ten-week-old white Wistar rats. In the third week, animals underwent ESWT with 1500 (Group I) and 500 (Group II) s...
