چکیده

Abstract Purpose of Review It is well-established that anxiety levels are higher among people with developmental coordination disorder (DCD) compared to their peers. However, it unclear whether this influences movement and behaviour. The purpose paper review studies demonstrating the influence on and/or behaviour in non-DCD DCD populations. Recent Findings When considering literature, many have illustrated movement. Only two papers were found which explicitly aimed consider a population. These findings described explored against backdrop wider research field. Summary This has highlighted potential role constraining patterns DCD. While great deal more evidence needed before definitive conclusions, there emerging motor may be related task-specific children

Deficits in the covert orienting of attention in children with Developmental Coordination Disorder: does severity of DCD count?

Children with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) show deficits in the covert orienting of visuospatial attention, suggesting an underlying issue in attentional disengagement and/or inhibitory control. However, an important theoretical issue that remains unclear is whether the pattern of deficits varies with DCD severity. Fifty-one children with moderate DCD (MDCD), 24 children with sever...

The aim of the present study was to analyze handwriting difficulties in children with developmental coordination disorder (DCD) and investigate the hypothesis that a deficit in procedural learning could help to explain them. The experimental set-up was designed to compare the performances of children with DCD with those of a non-DCD group on tasks that rely on motor learning in different ways, ...
