چکیده
Drainage basin/watershed analysis based on morphometric parameters has an essential role in watershed management and planning. Reliable delineation of watersheds drainage networks is critical for hydrological geomorphological studies. Since access to high-resolution digital elevation models (DEMs) surface (DSMs) costly, many researchers need evaluate low-resolution open-source products. Several data sources produced from different surveying techniques are used the analysis. In this study, five datasets such as Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) GDEM, Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) DEM, Land Observing Satellite (ALOS) DSM, National Aeronautics Space Administration (NASA) a DEM topographic maps (TOPO DEM), were investigated parameters. The tests was carried out Saz-Çayırova Basin, which one urbanization industrialization regions Kocaeli, Turkey. TOPO whose horizontal resolution 30 m, 1:25K scaled digitized topographical maps. It comparative analysis, all DEMs sources. parameters' result reference comparing results other addition, mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) compute accuracy between freely available each parameter. outcomes study reveal that most consistent with provided by SRTM following NASA DEM.

Morphometric Analysis of a Drainage Basin Using Geographical Information System: A Case study
Geographical information system (GIS) has emerged as an efficient tool in delineation of drainage pattern and ground water potential and its planning. GIS and image processing techniques can be employed for the identification of morphological features and analyzing properties of basin. The morphometric parameters of basin can address linear, areal and relief aspects. The present study deals mai...
متن کاملEvaluation of different digital elevation models for analyzing drainage morphometric parameters in a mountainous terrain: a case study of the Supin–Upper Tons Basin, Indian Himalayas
BACKGROUND With myriad geospatial datasets now available for terrain information extraction and particularly streamline demarcation, there arises questions regarding the scale, accuracy and sensitivity of the initial dataset from which these aspects are derived, as they influence all other parameters computed subsequently. In this study, digital elevation models (DEM) derived from Advanced Spac...
متن کاملAnalysis and Display of Digital Elevation Models within a Quadtree-based Geographic Information System
Digital elevation models (DEM) are an essential component of many geographic information systems (GIS), especially in natural resources applications. Recently, a number of prototype geographic information systems based on quadtrees have been developed. Digital elevation data create special problems for quadtree systems, since neighboring grid cells seldom have identical values. In this paper, w...
متن کاملAn Interactive Visualization Method for Integrating Digital Elevation Models and Geographic Information Systems Vector Layers
Currently there are software packages that allow a user to analyze GIS data. The problem is that the software is limited in the interaction provided. This paper presents a method for merging digital elevation models (DEM) and GIS vector layers, and also provided is an interactive visualization tool for analyzing the output.

[1] An effective and widely used method for removing spurious pits in digital elevation models consists of filling them until they overflow. However, this method sometimes creates large flat regions which in turn pose a problem for the determination of accurate flow directions. In this study, we propose to suppress each pit by creating a descending path from it to the nearest point having a low...
