Morphological and molecular identification of Cladosporium sphaerospermum isolates collected from tomato plant residues

Abstract This study was conducted at the Agriculture College University of Karbala, Iraq to isolate and morphologically molecularly diagnose thirteen Cladosporium isolates collected from tomato plant residues present in desert regions Najaf Karbala provinces, Iraq. We diagnosed obtained by PCR amplification using ITS1 ITS4 universal primer pair followed sequencing. analysis nucleotide sequences BLAST program showed that all isolated fungi belong sphaerospermum. Analysis identified C. sphaerospermum 2, 6, 9, 10 a genetic similarity reached 99%, 98%, respectively, with those previously registered National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBl). By comparing same available NCBI, it revealed have variation recorded (NCBl); therefore, been GenBank database (NCBI) under accession numbers MN896004, MN896107, MN896963, MN896971, respectively.
