چکیده
Asian lotus (Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.), commonly known as sacred is a basal eudicot. It has been grown and cultivated food, medicine for cultural, religious activities. In the current study, samples were collected from six different locations to evaluate variation among germplasm based on external morphological characteristics, well as, study genetic molecular characterization. Analysis of variance showed higher level variations all features. Based features, dendrogram was constructed assess linkage germplasm. The yellow Cumilla considered superior studied. To diversity correct identification germplasm, method “Barcoding” performed. achieve goal, two plastidial regions: rpoB rpoC1 employed. showing successful PCR subjected sequence analysis their barcode genes. All selected genes N. in multilocus sequences except Rajshahi also confirmed yellowish new cultivar ‘Gomoti’, newly found Bangladesh. Genetic obtained context DNA barcoding had used create phylogenetic tree which clustered into five main clades. establishing an efficient protocol capable elite gene source. Moreover, future studies are warranted see identifying capability diverging power barcodes. Bangladesh J. Plant Taxon. 29(1): 85-95, 2022 (June)

متن کاملImmunoregulatory and anti-HIV-1 enzyme activities of antioxidant components from lotus (Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.) rhizome.
In the present study, two antioxidant micromolecular components (L2f-2 and L2f-3) and an antioxidant macromolecular component LB2 were extracted from lotus (Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.) rhizomes. MS, FTIR (Fourier-transform IR) spectroscopy and NMR were used to identify these compounds. L2f-2 was (+/-)-gallocatechin, L2f-3 was (-)-catechin and LB2 was a polysaccharide-protein complex with a molecu...
متن کاملCytotoxic, Antitumor and Immunomodulatory Effects of the Water-Soluble Polysaccharides from Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.) Seeds.
Lotus is an edible and medicinal plant, and the extracts from its different parts exhibit various bioactivities. In the present study, the hot water-soluble polysaccharides from lotus seeds (LSPS) were evaluated for their cancer cell cytotoxicity, immunomodulatory and antitumor activities. LSPS showed significant inhibitory effects on the mouse gastric cancer MFC cells, human liver cancer HuH-7...
