Morphological and agronomic characteristics of winter rye cultivars in connection with their resistance to lodging

چکیده
Background . Lodging resistance of winter rye is associated with morphological features the stem. Searching for source material to breed non-lodging high-yielding cultivars requires studying varietal phenotypic diversity according characters stem that affect lodging and productivity ear. Materials methods Experiments were carried out in 2017–2020 at Federal Agricultural Research Center North-East (FARC North-East), Kirov. Field lodging, characteristics stem, yield, ear evaluated 16 cultivars. The study was based on International COMECON List Descriptors Genus Secale L., Methodology State Variety Trials Crops. weight segments second lower internodes measured 10 plants each cultivar under laboratory conditions. Results conclusions Negative correlations length (r= –0.55) internode (r = –0.65) revealed. Ear significantly wall thickness 0.52) –0.52). According results path analysis, main causes a decrease segment (P –0.467) –0.408), while an increase connected 0.424). differed their (LSD 05 0.8). Cvs. ‘Moskovskaya 12’, ‘Tatyana’, ‘Bylina’ ‘Yantarnaya’ identified; they are recommended as breeding resistance.

Effect of yellow rust disease on agronomic and physiological characteristics of winter and facultative bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars
To investigate the effect of yellow rust disease on some agronomic and physiological characteristics of bread wheat cultivars, two field experiments were conducted in Agricultural Research Station of Miandoab in West Azerbaijan, Iran, in 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 cropping seasons. Experimental treatments were arranged as factorial in randomized complete block design with three replications. Treat...

Winter cultivars of rye (Secale cereale L., cv Musketeer) and wheat (Triticum aestivum L. cvs Kharkov and Monopol), but not a spring cultivar of wheat (Glenlea), grown at cold-hardening temperatures showed, at high irradiances, a higher proportion of oxidized to reduced primary, stable quinone receptor (QA) than did the same cultivars grown under nonhardening conditions. In addition, there was ...
