چکیده

In subtropical environments lodging occurs at all stages of the oat plant development, particularly after panicle extrusion, causing severe yield reduction. This study aimed to identify morphological, chemical, and anatomical characteristics stem associated with resistance on oats, which may be used select resistant genotypes. A set genotypes diverse response were grown in nine environments, combining sowing densities, years, growing seasons within same year. Were carried out anatomical, chemical evaluations for main stems. Shorter length larger thickness first expanded basal internode are morphological Avena sativa. No differences lignin cellulose contents observed, however, there distribution pattern intensity staining. Lodging showed higher number cell layers subdermal parenchyma. The most practical easily selectable feature a breeding program remains height together wall internode.

Molecular Mapping of QTLs Associated with Lodging Resistance in Dry Direct-Seeded Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Dry direct-seeded rice (DSR) is an alternative crop establishment method with less water and labor requirement through mechanization. It provides better opportunities for a second crop during the cropping season and therefore, a feasible alternative system to transplanted lowland rice. However, lodging is one of the major constraints in attaining high yield in DSR. Identification of QTLs for lo...

Correlations of Morphological, Anatomical, and Chemical Features of Grape Berries with Resistance to Botrytis cinerea.

ABSTRACT Resistance of mature berries of grapevine cultivars and selections to postharvest infection by Botrytis cinerea was assessed. Little or no resistance existed in most popular table grape Vitis vinifera cultivars, except in moderately resistant 'Emperor' and 'Autumn Black'. Highly resistant grapes were V. rotundifolia, V. labrusca, or other complex hybrids. Morphological, anatomical, and...
