Molecular Transformation Based on an Innovative Catalytic System

Novel innovative catalytic systems such as hydrogen-bond donors and thiourea hybrid catalysts have been developed for the asymmetric synthesis of biologically important pharmaceuticals natural products. Benzothiadiazines possess a stronger donor ability compared to thioureas exhibit remarkable performance activation ?,?-unsaturated amides. Hybrid (bearing an arylboronic acid ammonium salt) efficiently promote hetero-Michael addition carboxylic acids O-alkylation keto enols with 5-chlorofuran-2(5H)-one. These enable first total non-racemic avenaol, noncanonical strigolactone, well several pharmaceuticals. In addition, this study discovers unique chemical phenomena (i.e., dual role benzoic boron ligand proton shuttle, chirality switch products by solvent used, dynamic kinetic resolution racemic electrophile in SN2-type reaction).
