چکیده
Background: Klebsiella pneumoniae is a member of the Enterobacteriaceae family. K. isolates produce enzymes that cause hydrolysis penicillins and cephalosporins. These are known as broad-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBL). The resistance to beta-lactamase antibiotics usually mediated by genes, present study aims determine prevalence ESβL producing with their antibiotic susceptibility pattern in urine samples pregnant women UTI. Method: current included two hundred twenty-five if they were suffering from urinary tract infection treated Shamiya General Hospital Pregnant Care Center sector October 2021 March 2022. One forty nine different types bacteria isolated using diagnostic methods nineteen obtained. Results: results revealed 225 positive for 149 patients infections, bacterial growth was highest rate age group 21–25 years. Then, 19 detected chemical morphological methods. Penicillin 100%.

BACKGROUND Extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae have caused major therapeutic problems worldwide since the majority are resistant to various antibiotics. In this study, an investigation was conducted regarding antibiotic-resistant patterns of 128 isolates of K pneumonile cultured from Iranian patients at two teaching hospitals during 2004-2005. MA...

background extended-spectrum β-lactamase (esbl) production is the major resistance mechanism to β-lactam antibiotics in enterobacteriaceae. in addition, emergence of plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance (pmqr) in esbl-producing isolates has become a global threat for treatment of these infections. objectives we investigated the association between esbl production and quinolone resistance in ur...

ABSTRACT Background and Objectives: The resistance of gram-negative bacteria to antibiotics has become a serious problem, which imposes a significant increase in treatment costs. Klebsiella pneumoniae is an important nosocomial pathogen from the Enterobacteriaceae family. The aim of this study was to investigate the frequency and pattern of antibiotic resistance in K. pneumoniae strains isolat...
متن کاملMolecular epidemiology of a citywide outbreak of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae infection.
Multidrug-resistant strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae are a problem in many hospitals. In 1999, the molecular epidemiology of K. pneumoniae with extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs) was studied at 15 hospitals in Brooklyn. Of 824 unique patient isolates, 34% were presumptive ESBL producers. Of this subset, 34% were susceptible to cefoxitin, 42% to ciprofloxacin, 48% to ceftriaxone, 55% to p...
متن کاملIn vitro emergence of carbapenem resistance in extended-spectrum β-lactamase-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae clinical isolates.
Klebsiella pneumoniae is thought to be the most common species producing ESBLs, and almost 50% of Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates produce ESBL in some countries [1]. Furthermore, antimicrobial co-resistance within ESBL-producing isolate communities limits the number of drugs that are effective against these strains, leaving carbapenems as the most reliable agents [2-3]. Carbapenem resistance can...
