چکیده
Submergence in rice fields creating inundation stress and realizing anoxia or hypoxia is a problem agriculture. Seeds under this oxygen deficit are faced with fermentative respiration, where the end product would be poisoning tissue viability. This more aggravated direct seeded cultivation accumulation of lactate as poison. review concerned basic insights into tolerance seeds possible strategies to reduce anoxic shock through modification metabolism preceded by gene expression. The major concern germination starch downstream physiological realization facilitate escape quiescence strategy, overcoming submergence stress. coleoptiles facing hypoxic mated transcripts for oxidative traits, energy metabolism, proteins membrane peroxidation support most important. Hypoxic genes recovered from traditional indica japonica land races rice, show changes glycolytic flux sugar sensing. Anoxic seedling vigor based on combinational regulation catabolism. De novo antioxidant antioxidative enzyme production can improved seed condition. Pre-harvest spouting seed-coat-induced dormancy, hormonal ratios, hydrolyses concern. Therefore, comprehensive analysis aimed understand priming better gas exchange, diffusion, temperature sensitivity, ion uptake, redox balance, others. Still, in-depth being awaited understanding molecular basis using multi-omics approach overcome anoxic/hypoxic revelation mostly acquainted

In the present study, three rice varieties namely Swarna, Swarna Sub1A, and FR13A were evaluated on the basis of their antioxidative responses to screen submergence tolerance capabilities. Fourteen-day- old seedlings were completely submerged for 7 days and were observed to have a significant variation in reactive oxygen species like H2O2 and O2-. The variety Swarna recorded maximum accumulatio...
متن کاملThe submergence tolerance regulator SUB1A mediates crosstalk between submergence and drought tolerance in rice.
Submergence and drought are major constraints to rice (Oryza sativa) production in rain-fed farmlands, both of which can occur sequentially during a single crop cycle. SUB1A, an ERF transcription factor found in limited rice accessions, dampens ethylene production and gibberellic acid responsiveness during submergence, economizing carbohydrate reserves and significantly prolonging endurance. He...

متن کاملInheritance of Submergence Tolerance in Lowland Rice Variety
About 70% of the rain-fed lowland rice farms in Nigeria are prone to seasonal flooding, which is a major constraint to rice production in some major rice producing areas. Each year that there is flooding, rice farmers in these parts of the country lose their entire crop. This research focuses on developing a submergence tolerant rice variety to overcome crop loss due to flooding. A study of the...
