چکیده
From the characterisation, partial 16 S gene sequences obtained for two bacteria were subjected to blast-bootstrap analysis obtain phylogenetic tree. In assessing similarity of Xenorhabdus bovienii with five other spp., it was found be 96% similar X. nematophila and japonica Accession Numbers D78006 NR027194 respectively. The closer beddingii 95% kazodoii 97% poinarii. tree, species belong genera Xenorhabadus Photorhabdus. compared NR027194, nematophila, poinarii DQ211703, AY278675 kozodoii Eu 190977. results showed that at 20 ? both Photorhabdus luminescens increased a log concentration 7.5 after 6 h. They then slightly up 15 At 25 had 6.1 1 h but only slowly 6.6 However, P. started 5.6 smoothly 30 6.2

Antibacterial Activities of Extracellular Metabolites of Symbiotic Bacteria, Xenorhabdus and Photorhabdus Isolated from Entomopathogenic Nematodes
Xenorhabdus and Photorhabdus are members of the family Enterobacteriaceae, and are engaged in a mutualistic association with the entomopathogenic nematodes, Steinernema and Heterorhabditis, respectively. In the present study, the organic fraction of ethyl acetate bacterial crude extracts of the symbiotic bacteria, Xenorhabdus stockiae and Photorhabdus luminescens isolated from entomopathogenic ...
متن کاملDiversity of Xenorhabdus and Photorhabdus spp. and Their Symbiotic Entomopathogenic Nematodes from Thailand
Xenorhabdus and Photorhabdus spp. are bacterial symbionts of entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs). In this study, we isolated and characterized Xenorhabdus and Photorhabdus spp. from across Thailand together with their associated nematode symbionts, and characterized their phylogenetic diversity. EPNs were isolated from soil samples using a Galleria-baiting technique. Bacteria from EPNs were cultu...

Primary and secondary forms of Photorhabdus luminescens Hm and Xenorhabdus nematophilus N2-4 were grown at 18 and 28(deg)C for 24 to 96 h, and we made determinations of the fatty-acid compositions of total lipids and of the fluidity measured by 5-doxyl-stearic acid embedded in liposomes made from total lipids. The levels of the unsaturated fatty acids 16:1 and 18:1 (those with chain lengths of ...
