چکیده

INTRODUCTION: Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) is the most aggressive type of cancer accounting for 12% all malignancies. Systemic therapy remains main treatment strategy. Targeted and immunotherapy are prescribed when certain molecular genetic aberrations detected.
THE AIM: To investigate profile samples anaplastic carcinoma.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study included 37 patients with ATC. Mutation V600E BRAF, mutations in gene NRAS KRAS were detected by allele-specific polymerase chain reaction (AS-PCR). Microsatellite instability (MSI) was determined fragment analysis according to ESMO recommendations. Mutations promoter region TERT used Sanger sequencing. NTRK1, EML4-ALK, PAX8/PPARy и RET/PTC translocations ATC real-time (PCR).
RESULTS: According results study, frequency mutation BRAF 32.4% (12/37). NRAS, genes 13.5% (n=5). prevalence point food 24.3% (n=9). MSI found 2.7% (1/37) cases anapalastic carcinoma. not CONCLUSION: further specific targets cells will allow personalize tactics

Update on Anaplastic Thyroid Carcinoma: Morphological, Molecular, and Genetic Features of the Most Aggressive Thyroid Cancer

Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) is the most aggressive form of thyroid cancer. It shows a wide spectrum of morphological presentations and the diagnosis could be challenging due to its high degree of dedifferentiation. Molecular and genetic features of ATC are widely heterogeneous as well and many efforts have been made to find a common profile in order to clarify its cancerogenetic process....

Anaplastic Thyroid Carcinoma

Thyroid cancers represent about 1% of all human cancers. Differentiate thyroid carcinomas (DTCs), papillary and follicular cancers, are the most frequent forms, instead Anaplastic Thyroid Carcinoma (ATC) is estimated to comprise 1-2% of thyroid malignancies and it accounts for 14-39% of thyroid cancer deaths. The annual incidence of ATC is about one to two cases/million, with the overall incide...

Molecular genetics of papillary thyroid carcinoma: great expectations.

Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most prevalent type of endocrine cancer and, in recent epidemiological surveys, one of the types of human cancer whose incidence is growing. Despite the favourable outcome and long survival rates of most patients, some tumours display an aggressive behaviour and may progress to the highly aggressive and lethal, anaplastic thyroid carcinoma. In recent yea...
