Molecular Gas Structures Traced by <sup>13</sup>CO Emission in the 18,190 <sup>12</sup>CO Molecular Clouds from the MWISP Survey

Abstract After morphological classification of 18,190 12 CO molecular clouds, we further investigate the properties their internal gas structures traced by 13 ( J = 1−0) line emissions. Using three different methods to extract within each cloud, find that ∼15% clouds (2851) have and these contribute about 93% total integrated flux emission. In 2851 with structures, emission area generally does not exceed 70% area, 20% flux. We reveal a strong correlation between velocity-integrated intensities lines those in both regions. This indicates H 2 column densities are crucial for linking structure detection rates morphologies, i.e., nonfilaments filaments, primarily detected filamentary morphologies. Moreover, filaments tend harbor more than one structure. That demonstrates only larger spatial scales, but also lines, local density enhancements. Our results favor turbulent compression scenario filament formation, which dynamical flows induces The be low-pressure quiescent environments diffuse interstellar medium.
