چکیده
Exploring the genetic diversity among plant accessions is important for conserving and managing resources. In current study, a collection of forty-six tomato from Jordan were evaluated based on their performance morpho-physiological, in addition to molecularly characterizing detect diversity. Tomato seedlings exposed drought stress with 70% field capacity 40% under conditions Jordan. Drought had significantly negatively influenced dry root weight, fresh growth rate, shoot rate. Moreover, proline content showed highly significant increase 304.2% response stress. The analysis twenty morphological characters revealed wide range variations accessions. Accessions screened fourteen SSR primers; six primers informative explain Based resolving power, LEct004 LEat018 most all 46 Interestingly, polymorphic information (PIC) values ranged 0.00 (Asr2 marker) 0.499 (LEct004), which confirms that markers are informative. Our findings provide new insights into using molecular elucidate such variation discovered our collections Afraa Abeel (the southern part Jordan). associated genes, e.g., ACTIN_RELATED PROTEIN gene, HOMEOBOX TRANSCRIPTION FACTORS Asr2 ABA/WDS. Furthermore, evaluating different water regimes essential produce varieties coping conditions.

Two different Pb concentrations (5 and 10 mg/kg of PbAc2) were used to study the response of Solanum lycopersicum L. cv. Micro-Tom (MT) plants in two vegetative growth phases. Two genes that have been previously reported to be heavy metal inducible genes (superoxide dismutase, SOD, EC 1.15.1.1; and isofl avone reductase, IFR; EC 1.6.4.2) and another one putatively interesting in this fi eld (tr...

Acclimation to Drought Stress Enhances Oxidative Stress Tolerance in Solanum lycopersicum L. Fruits
A moderate water deficit stress (S1) applied 10 days after anthesis was found to induce acclimation to a subsequent more severe drought stress (S2) in Solanum lycopersicum L.. When plants were pretreated with S1, and then subjected to S2, fruit water status remained similar to controls. In contrast, S2 induced a decrease in both parameters of water status and diameter of fruits from non-acclima...
متن کاملIdentification and characterization of histone deacetylases in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum)
Histone acetylation and deacetylation at the N-terminus of histone tails play crucial roles in the regulation of eukaryotic gene activity. Histone acetylation and deacetylation are catalyzed by histone acetyltransferases and histone deacetylases (HDACs), respectively. A growing number of studies have demonstrated the importance of histone deacetylation/acetylation on genome stability, transcrip...
متن کاملRespiratory behavior of turning stage mature tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) under closed system at different temperature
The respiration rate and respiratory quotient of mature tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L. cv. ‘Himsona’) fruits harvested at the turning stage were determined under closed system at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 35 °C (ambient) temperatures. The rate of respiration was higher at the start of the experiment and gradually declined as the storage period prolonged, before becoming almost constant. The steady...
