Molecular characterisation of the oldest domesticated Turkish einkorn wheat landraces with simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers

Einkorn (Triticum monococcum L. ssp. monococcum) is an ancient diploid wheat species with many useful traits and used as a gene discovery model. In this research, total of 41 tetraploid accessions were tested using simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. A 33 genotypes T. along four each (T. dicoccon durum) plant material. The analysis utilized 10 polymorphic markers, including number alleles average frequency 4.1 per locus during exploration the level genetic variations. Various diversity analyses, which are effective (Ne), (h), Polymorphic Information Content (PIC), Shannon’s information index (I), performed for ‘A’ genome SSR results showed narrow variation in einkorn genotypes, supported by Analysis Molecular Variance (AMOVA), 66% maximum all genotypes. structure divided whole germplasm into two populations. dendrogram was constructed to determine similarities unpaired group method arithmetic averages (UPGMA), separated from other genotypes/accessions. Principal Coordinate (PCoA) co-supported clustering UPGMA differentiating wheat. These findings will help understand relationships among these their use breeding programs future works.
