چکیده

Background: The present investigation was carried out on poultry carcasses brought to the Department of Veterinary Pathology, LUVAS, Hisar from Herpesvirus turkeys (HVT) vaccinated chicken flocks and suspected for viral neoplastic conditions basis necropsy. Conventional molecular techniques confirmation Marek’s disease (MD) were studied. For differential diagnosis other oncogenic infections immunohistochemistry as an important tool investigated. Methods: conventional MD) done clinical signs, gross lesions histopathology proliferate lesions; lymphomatous consist pleomorphic lymphocytes. confirmatory employed detect MD virus specific Meq gene by Taqman probe real time PCR nested PCR. mixed infections, (IHC) using B T cell differentiation markers (CD79 alpha CD3) employed. Result: Specific positive in 92.5% cases; while technique gave positivity 55% cases. immunohistochemical reactivity CD3 cytoplasm membrane negative reaction CD79 cases, cases with MDV conditions, cells showed both proliferates.

Characterization of virulent Newcastle disease viruses from vaccinated chicken flocks in Eastern China

BACKGROUND Newcastle disease (ND) is one of the most contagious and devastating diseases to poultry in the world. The causative agents are virulent strains of Newcastle disease virus (NDV), which belong to the genus Avulavirus, sub-family Paramyxoviridae, family Paramyxovirinae. Knowing the genomic and antigenic characteristics of virulent NDVs might contribute to ND control in China. RESULTS...

Molecular Characterization of Chicken Anemia Virus Circulating in Chicken Flocks in Egypt

Introduction. Although many previous studies reported detection of chicken anemia virus (CAV) in Egypt since 1990, genomic characterization of this circulating CAV has not been published. In the present study, four nucleotide sequences of detected CAV were genetically characterized. Methods. These nucleotide sequences were obtained from commercial chicken flocks in two different locations of Eg...
