In the present article we discuss approximation properties of genuine Lupac{s}-Beta operators of  integral type. We establish quantitative asymptotic formulae and a direct estimate in terms of Ditzian-Totik modulus of continuity. Finally we mention  results on the weighted modulus of continuity for the genuine operators.

Uniform Modulus of Continuity of Random Fields

A sufficient condition for the uniform modulus of continuity of a random field X = {X(t), t ∈ RN} is provided. The result is applicable to random fields with heavy-tailed distribution such as stable random fields. Absolute continuity of spectral measure for certain unbounded Jacobi matrices

Spectral properties of unbounded symmetric Jacobi matrices are studied. Under mild assumptions on the coefficients absolute continuity of spectral measure is proved. Only operator theoretic proofs are provided. Some open problems of Ifantis are solved.
