چکیده
A generalized plasma model with inertial warm ions, inertialess iso-thermal electrons, super-thermal electrons and positrons is considered to theoretically investigate the modulational instability (MI) of ion-acoustic waves (IAWs). standard nonlinear Schrödinger equation derived by applying reductive perturbation method. It observed that stable domain IAWs decreases ion temperature but increases electron temperature. also found increasing (decreasing) (ion) number density. The present results will be useful in understanding conditions for MI which are relevant both space laboratory plasmas.

Modulational instability of dust ion acoustic waves in astrophysical dusty plasmas with non thermal electrons
Propagation of dust ion acoustic waves in plasmas composed of nonthermal distributed electrons and stationary dust particles is investigated. Nonlinear Schrdinger equation is derived to describe small amplitude waves, using the reduction perturbation technique. Modulation instability of dust ion acoustic waves is analysed for this system. Parametric investigation indicates that growth rate of...
متن کاملElectron-acoustic plasma waves: oblique modulation and envelope solitons.
Theoretical and numerical studies are presented of the amplitude modulation of electron-acoustic waves (EAWs) propagating in space plasmas whose constituents are inertial cold electrons, Boltzmann distributed hot electrons, and stationary ions. Perturbations oblique to the carrier EAW propagation direction have been considered. The stability analysis, based on a nonlinear Schrödinger equation, ...
متن کاملLinear stability and instability of ion-acoustic plasma solitary waves
The Euler–Poisson equations for a cold, collisionless plasma support ion-acoustic solitary waves. We prove that these waves are spectrally stable at low amplitude in one space-dimension and present numerical evidence that they destabilize at finite amplitude before they develop singularities. © 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. متن کاملLinear and Nonlinear Dust Acoustic Waves in Quantum Dusty Electron-Positron-Ion Plasma
The behavior of linear and nonlinear dust acoustic waves (DAWs) in an unmagnetized plasma including inertialess electrons and positrons, ions, and mobile positive/negative dust grains are studied. Reductive perturbation method is employed for small and finite amplitude DAWs. To investigate the solitary waves, the Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation is derived and the solution is presented. B...
متن کاملModulational instability and solitons in a periodic dissipative feedback system
We review our recent experimental results on control of the modulational instability, pattern formation, and solitons in a nonlinear discrete dissipative feedback system. We show that the discreetness and bandgap effects can provide efficient control of the nonlinear instability modes of the system. Furthermore, we explore the possibilities for excitation of dissipative discrete solitons in suc...
