Modifying the Sand Concrete with Recycled Tyre Polymer Fiber to Increase the Crack Resistance of Building Structures

Recently, the use of recycled tyre polymer fiber derived from waste tires as a concrete reinforcement has received great deal attention. The is promising additive to for building materials which require resistance against cracking. In this work, effect treated and untreated on properties sand was studied. It shown that consists mainly different fractions crumb rubber, fiber, metal fiber. main components in are polyamide polyester threads 6.5 mm length (l) 0.05 diameter (d); ratio l/d = 150; average density 0.923 g/cm3. established addition amounts 11 19 kg/m3 into leads decrease compressive flexural strengths by 15% 21%, respectively. with 5 10 increases strength 14% 23.4%, prismatic contents lower than ordinary 10.8% 4.6%, obtained results showed crack concrete. can be used cost-effective alternative other types low-modulus fibers produce durable materials.
