Diiractive Charged Meson Pair Production
We investigate the possibility to measure the nonforward gluon distribution function by means of diiractively produced + ? and K + K ? pairs in polarized lepton nucleon scattering. The resulting cross sections are sizable and are dominated by the gluonic contribution. We nd large spin asymmetries, both for + ? and for K + K ? pairs.

The spin and flavor symmetries of the heavy quark effective theory are employed to discuss the exclusive cross sections for pair production of heavy mesons in photon-photon collision. The ratios of the exclusive cross sections for heavy mesons are obtained explicitly and the validity of results is discussed.
