Modified H-plasty in large basal cell carcinoma defect reconstruction on the forehead: a case report

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common malignancy worldwide. Surgical removal considered gold standard treatment. However, large defects following excisional surgery can pose a significant challenge for reconstruction, especially in cases where primary closure not possible. In which, use of skin flaps may be utilized. Most traditional are limited by design to take advantage only one region relative excess. This paper reports case forehead defect BCC excision which was successfully reconstructed modified H-plasty involving U-plasty and rotation-advancement flap. Maintenance aesthetics without impaired function aim with combined flaps.
