چکیده
This study investigates the surface modification of polyethylene terephthalate track-etched membranes by planar magnetron sputtering titanium and dioxide thin films to improve its hydrophilicity photocatalytic activity. After cold plasma treatment enhanced adhesion, Ti were deposited TiO2 reactive in an Ar-O2 gas atmosphere. The morphology was characterised using atomic force microscopy scanning electron microscopy. pores retained a mostly circular shape. However, modified track membrane's pore diameter reduced from 0.2 µm 0.15 for coated samples 0.08 Ti-TiO2 samples. Structural studies X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy Raman revealed intricate composition sputtered which result complexity on top porous polymer support. Additional investigations wettability bandgap showed significant change membrane surface's properties after depositing TiO2-Ti, adding self-cleaning TM. film 3.1 eV indirect type. Both TiO2-Ti over TM significantly water contact angle 72° untreated PET 43° 45° Ti-TM TiO2-Ti-TM, respectively. shows that is viable approach polymeric support, such as membranes. coating hydrophilicity, thereby reducing chance fouling organic substances, leads improved properties.

متن کاملStructure and morphology of magnetron sputtered CoCr thin films
The growth characteristics of magnetron sputtered Co-22%Cr thin films on amorphous glass or carbon substrates have been investigated utilizing transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and electrical resistivity measurements. Results indicate that the initial deposit is “amorphous”. but that small crystallites form before the film reaches 5 nm film thickness. By 10 nm, well oriented g...
متن کاملFabrication and Characteristics of RF Magnetron Sputtered ITO Thin Films
Indium tin oxide (ITO) films have been deposited onto glass substrates by ifmagnetron sputtering without insitu substrate heating. The as-deposited films have an electrical resistivity of 5x1O a-cm, visible transmittance of about 85%, and infrared (IR) reflectance of above 80% at 5 jim. The effect of sputtering parameters on the deposition rate and the electrical and optical properties of ITO f...
متن کاملAnnealing studies of magnetron-sputtered CoCr thin films
The microstructure and magnetic properties of annealed CoCr thin films of various thicknesses, deposited on glass substrates, were examined. In general, little grain growth upon annealing was observed. Low-angle grain boundaries, present in as-sputtered films of thickness ~50nm, were absent in annealed films. This occurs simultaneously with a decrease in the measured electrical resistivity. A r...
متن کامل349 R.f. Planar Magnetron Sputtered Zno Films I: Structural Properties
The structural properties of r.f. planar magnetron sputtered ZnO films are studied as a function of deposition parameters: substrate type, substrate temperature, sputter gas pressure, growth rate and sputtering power. These films are applied as piezoelectric transducers in micromechanical sensors and actuators. The electric properties, and consequently the piezoelectric behaviour, depend strong...
