Plantinga’s Probability Arguments Against Evolutionary Naturalism

In Chapter 12 of Warrant and Proper Function, Alvin Plantinga constructs two arguments against evolutionary naturalism, which he construes as a conjunction E&N . Contra $beta^{*}$-continuous and almost contra $beta^{*}$-continuous functions

The notion of contra continuous functions was introduced and investigated by Dontchev. In this paper, we apply the notion of $beta^{*}$-closed sets in topological space to present and study a new class of functions called contra $beta^{*}$-continuous and almost contra $beta^{*}$-continuous functions as a new generalization of contra continuity.

Diagonal arguments and fixed points

‎A universal schema for diagonalization was popularized by N.S‎. ‎Yanofsky (2003)‎, ‎based on a pioneering work of F.W‎. ‎Lawvere (1969)‎, ‎in which the existence of a (diagonolized-out and contradictory) object implies the existence of a fixed-point for a certain function‎. ‎It was shown that many self-referential paradoxes and diagonally proved theorems can fit in that schema‎. ‎Here‎, ‎we fi...
