چکیده

The mathematical model proposed by Chapman and Antano (Electrochimica Acta, 56 (2010), 128–132) for the catalytic electrochemical–chemical (EC’) processes in an irreversible second-order homogeneous reaction a microelectrode is discussed. mass-transfer boundary layer neighbouring electrode can contribute to electrode’s measured AC impedance. This be used analyse membrane-transport studies other instances of ionic transport semiconductors materials. Two efficient easily accessible analytical techniques, AGM DTM, were solve steady-state non-linear diffusion equation’s infinite layers. Herein, we present generalized approximate solution solute, product, reactant concentrations current small experimental values kinetic parameters. Using Matlab/Scilab program, also derive numerical this problem. comparison numerical/computational results reveals satisfactory level agreement.

Layers and Spikes in Non-homogeneous Bistable Reaction-diffusion Equations

We study ε2ü = f(u, x) = Au (1−u) (φ−u), where A = A(u, x) > 0, φ = φ(x) ∈ (0, 1), and ε > 0 is sufficiently small, on an interval [0, L] with boundary conditions u̇ = 0 at x = 0, L. All solutions with an ε independent number of oscillations are analyzed. Existence of complicated patterns of layers and spikes is proved, and their Morse index is determined. It is observed that the results extend ...

Homogeneous Reaction Diffusion

1. Electrocatalysis: This is one of the direct examples of the homogeneous reaction diffusion regime. This involves multiple steps, i.e. diffusion, adsorption and a possible charge transfer at the surface (x = 0). As shown in the schematic of Fig(1), species will adsorb on the catalyst surface, then diffuse along the surface to the right/left surfaces where a charge transfer reaction can occur....

Modelling Diffusion of Innovations with Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Populations

Diffusion of innovation can be defined as a system of adoption by which the innovation of a new product or service is spread among the members or agents in a social system. Diffusion models help to forecast the demand and work as a decision aid in making prelaunch, launch and help post-launch strategic choices. This complex system can be approached, in aggregate form, as a function of the numbe...

Positivity-preserving nonstandard finite difference Schemes for simulation of advection-diffusion reaction equations

Systems in which reaction terms are coupled to diffusion and advection transports arise in a wide range of chemical engineering applications, physics, biology and environmental. In these cases, the components of the unknown can denote concentrations or population sizes which represent quantities and they need to remain positive. Classical finite difference schemes may produce numerical drawback...

Convergence of a finite volume scheme for nonlocal reaction-diffusion systems modelling an epidemic disease

We analyze a finite volume scheme for nonlocal SIR model, which is a nonlocal reaction-diffusion system modeling an epidemic disease. We establish existence solutions to the finite volume scheme, and show that it converges to a weak solution. The convergence proof is based on deriving series of a priori estimates and using a general L compactness criterion.
