چکیده

This article presents the results of an experimental model a systemic pseudomonas aeruginosa infection. can be used to develop therapeutic measures suppress infectious disease caused by antibiotic-resistant strains Pseudomonas aeruginosa. For this purpose, dry lyophilised culture (strain name: Aeruginosa No. 453, strain number 190158, obtained from Vishnevsky Institute Surgery. was pre-cultured in test tubes with meat-peptone broth (MPB), after 30 min using sterile pipette and 0.2 ml transferred agar (cetrimide agar) cultured anaerobic medium at 37±2 °C for 24 h thermostat. The is resuspended washing off surface 0.85% saline. In area, pipetted Pasteur pipette. concentration microbial cells adjusted Tarasevich turbidity standard tube. Animals are held head down so that viscera abdomen descend diaphragm. injection made lower third, left white line abdomen. site disinfected, skin fold taken needle inserted into it, turned right angles abdominal wall punctured quick thrust. blunted beforehand prevent damage intestinal loops. volume injected rabbits clinical signs infection depend on detected appropriate group. Conditions, selected allow create quickly necessary cavity laboratory animals, promoting peritonitis, criteria performance technically simple.

Heat treatment enhances healing process of experimental pseudomonas corneal ulcer.

We investigated the effects of hyperthermia on the healing process of experimental Pseudomonas corneal ulceration (PCU). Hartley guinea pigs were used to develop animal models of PCU. As a heat source, disposable chemical pocket warmers were applied. The healing process of PCU was compared between the heat-treated corneas and the control corneas. The severity of infection and the degree of angi...

An Engineering Process and Modelling

This paper presents a novel Security Engineering Process for the creation of security-enhanced system models. The process offers a language for the definition of a domain-specific security knowledge language, the creation of security artefacts using the previous architecture and the use of these artefacts in a system model for fulfilling its security requirements and assurance. It makes securit...

Experimental urinary tract infection with Pseudomonas aeruginosa in mice.

Urinary tract infection with Pseudomonas aeruginosa was induced in mice by transurethral inoculation of the organism into the bladder, followed by urethral obstruction for 6 h. The infection was mostly localized in the urinary organs. P. aeruginosa P9 was selected as the challenge organism from 10 laboratory strains of P. aeruginosa. After the inoculation of 10(7) colony-forming units of P. aer...

Experimental Pseudomonas aeruginosa Infection of the Mouse Cornea.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection of human cornea is rare but serious. The work of previous investigators using experimental infection primarily of rabbit cornea resulted in successful therapy for 10 to 50% of clinical cases. The advantage of using the mouse is demonstrated. The methods we adapted for characterizing the untreated experimental infection included: incising the cornea to enable est...

Shrinkage Curve: Experimental Study and Modelling

In order to study the shrinkage process of clayey soil, we perform a modified laboratory test allowing to measure simultaneously and continuously the vertical displacement and the weight of natural state specimen. The experiment was conducted on undisturbed clayey specimen. Using the experimental results, and on the basis of the existing relation between the soil water content and its structura...
