Modeling Supply Chain Resilience in Industrialized Construction: A Hong Kong Case

Given the heightened imperatives for supply chain resilience (SCR) in industrialized construction (IC) Hong Kong, this study modeled dynamic impact of vulnerabilities (SCVs) and capabilities (SCCs) on IC chains. The data collected through expert surveys, interviews, case studies were analyzed using social network analysis (SNA) system dynamics modeling (SDM) to develop research models. Onsite assembly was identified as most vulnerable phase, anticipation influential capability. Further, use an interoperable smart software package other suggested strategies shown enhance IC’s resilient capabilities. As key practical contributions, these findings provide evidence-based insights adopting well-focused performance-enhancing measures achieve SCR IC. Moreover, is first initiative explore potential applications SDM SNA assess dynamics, targeting a goal enhanced resilience. This study, therefore, contributes substantially knowledge domains. Findings should also motivate scholars pursuing similar industry-specific improvements jurisdictions.
