Modeling of the complex hydrocarbon traps by the shot domain acoustic finite difference method and data-processing

Numerical modeling studies have a widespread application in exploration seismology order to understand the seismic reflection responses of hydrocarbon traps formed relation tectonic structure, lithological changes and unconformities complex geological environments develop effective data processing strategies. In this study, two important trap models (Granite Wash Normal Fault Trap) was performed by Finite Difference Method (FDM), which provides solution acoustic wave equation. Seismic were carried out pre-stack shot environment, obtained passed through appropriate data-processing stages obtain stack migration (zero offset) sections. By converting sections depth, spatial location dimensions on section determined it has been observed that they are compatible comparing with initial models. Thus, structures learned, importance understood, zero offset cross-sections generated synthetic records. Accordingly, is make more frequent shots investigation granite wash type thin short-width , whereas useful relatively less reduce scattering intensity caused discontinuities fault structures. Consequently, thought before field study for exploration, instead post-stack will contribute development testing interpretation. future, such be developed different real data.
