چکیده
Abstract. In the urban environment, gas and particles impose adverse impacts on health of pedestrians. The conventional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods that regard pollutants as passive scalars cannot reproduce formation secondary lead to uncertain prediction. this study, SSH-aerosol, a modular box model simulates evolution gas, primary aerosols, is coupled with CFD software, OpenFOAM Code_Saturne. transient dispersion emitted from traffic in street canyon simulated using unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equations (RANS) model. concentrations NO2, PM10, black carbon (BC) are compared field measurements Greater Paris. NO2 PM10 based achieved better agreement measurement data than simulation. Meanwhile, concentration underestimated, probably partly because underestimation non-exhaust emissions (tire road wear). simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Large-eddy simulation of reactive pollutant dispersion in a street canyon using a subgrid scale variance model of concentration field
ABSTRACT: Bi-molecular reactions can affect the transport of air pollutants in urban street canyons. In numerical simulations, we need to evaluate the correlation between the concentrations of the reactants to know the reaction rate. In this paper, we examine the effects of the subgrid scale (SGS) on the reaction rate in large-eddy simulations (LESs). LESs coupled with an SGS variance model are...
متن کاملCFD simulation of near-field pollutant dispersion in the urban environment: A review of current modeling techniques
Near-field pollutant dispersion in the urban environment involves the interaction of a plume and the flow field perturbed by building obstacles. In the past two decades, micro-scale Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation of pollutant dispersion around buildings and in urban areas has been widely used, sometimes in lieu of wind tunnel testing. This paper reviews current modeling technique...
متن کاملconstruction and validation of the translation teacher competency test and the scale of students’ perceptions of translation teachers
the major purpose of this study was to develop the translation teacher competency test (ttct) and examine its construct and predictive validity. the present study was conducted in two phases: a qualitative phase as well as a quantitative phase. in the first phase of the study, the author attempted to find out the major areas of competency required for an academic translation teacher. the second...
Simulation of Dispersion of Pollutant by Eddy Field
This research studies the behavior of the dispersion of a pollutant cloud, through the simulation of an eddy field velocity. To do so, a mathematical model was developed, with base in the Monte Carlo simulations, in order to analyze all statistic aspects, present in this process. A computational program was developed, so that it can be possible to establish the behavior of the cloud size, in a ...
