Modeling of an Innovative Nitrogen-Free Cryotherapy Device

Partial body cryotherapy cabins most often use liquid nitrogen as their cryogenic fluid, which raises safety concerns during operation. In this study, an innovative cabin design is presented, featuring electric cooling system suitable for producing cold air at −30 °C. The geometry of the designed evaluated by a thermodynamic modeling aims optimizing circulation flows inside cabin. numerical study carried out in two successive phases, first one being necessary to model pre-cooling phase and estimate time required reach average temperature close set second 3-min session taking into account thermal transfers between human its environment. Results demonstrate potential benefits injection device has been optimize homogenize temperatures within therapeutic enclosure. main innovation ability customize protocols injecting different levels through targeting specific areas.
