This study aims to model a hybrid power system that can continuously generate by switching between two possible thermal sources: solar radiation and combustion energy from synthesis gases. The comprised receiver, dish, Stirling generator, fluidized-bed gasifier, boiler, water tank. dish was dual-reflection collector used mirrors, namely the main subordinate concentrators, concentrate broad expanse of onto receiver. gasifier employed for production gases were combusted provide an auxiliary heat source generator when insufficient. Solar or alternatively introduced into receiver converted 1-kW-scale beta-type engine. In this manner, could serve as base-load plant regardless conditions. study, complete quantitative developed demonstration incorporating thermodynamic dynamic models engine, ray-tracing experimental data gasifier. performance response during predicted. modeling results indicated result in continuous output ranging 600 1200 W. With gas source, be operated continuously, overall is increased 109.82% compared conventional concentrated only uses radiation.
